Casino Regina occupies Regina's Union Station, a 1912 railway building on Saskatchewan Drive that was restored rather than gutted when the casino moved in. The main hall retains its original proportions and detailing, and walking in through the station doors is a considerably better arrival than any purpose-built floor offers.
The gaming operation is mid-sized: around 800 slot machines and 30 gaming tables run by the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, with a 500-seat Show Lounge that programmes tribute acts and comedy most weekends.
There is no hotel in the building, but downtown Regina hotels are within a five-minute walk — which, combined with the lowest prices on this list, makes an overnight easy to arrange.
